One canal stretches south to the sea, reshaping the regional development landscape. One hub connects upstream and downstream waterways, linking river and marine shipping networks.
Stretching 134.2 km, the Pinglu Canal accommodates 5,000-ton vessels. It serves as a convenient passage for Southwest China to access the sea and connect with ASEAN.
The Madao Hub, known as the “first gateway” of the whole route, houses the world’s fastest-operating large inland waterway lock. Its valves open in just one minute and close in 30 seconds. Given its demanding operating conditions, stringent requirements are imposed on the stability and control precision of its core equipment.
